Services
Platt Security was founded by Robert "Bob" Platt in 1958. Bob was a Police Sergeant for the City of Long Beach assigned to the Vice Division. The Chief of Police asked if he could handle security for public events held at the old Long Beach Municipal Auditorium. Bob put together a group of off duty police officers to work concerts, roller derbies and other public events, and Platt Security was born. In 1962, the Long Beach Arena was opened, and Platt Security began providing security for major sporting events, concerts, and trade shows.
Our management team has over one hundred years of combined local law enforcement experience. Marc Platt is a retired Detective with the Long Beach Police Department with over 16 years of service. During this time he worked for the Detective Bureau (Robbery, Burglary, and Auto Theft) as well as the Patrol Bureau.
Platt Security Systems has installed over one thousand residential alarm systems. We install, state of the art, GE Interlogix and Honeywell systems. At Platt Security Systems we feel it is important to provide total protection for your home, giving you the peace of mind knowing your home is safe when you are away, and most important while you are asleep.
