MRC Investigations was established to conduct investigations focusing on cargo crimes. Since our founding in 2001, we have handled over 2,000 cargo crime related cases; far more than any other company in the Americas and perhaps more than any company in the world. Without question, we are the only company with such a direct focus on this type of work and we now believe that the majority of large cargo crime cases in the United States are investigated through our security professionals. In October of 2006, MRC Investigations (USA) opened a new chapter in the company - the Corporate Investigations Division.
Services
MRC Investigations (USA), Inc. was derived from a program at Intercargo Insurance Company called Operation Intercept. Intercept was created in 1996 to help Intercargo respond to cargo crime claims. During its four years of operation, it developed a nationwide network of ex-law enforcement officers to handle special cases from a criminal investigations perspective.
Since the creation of MRC, our guiding philosophy has been to build bridges between the insurance and logistics industries and unite them with law enforcement. All of these groups have similar interests, but their methods, approaches and eventual goals may differ, making communication among them challenging.
This special program, trademarked to MRC Investigation (USA), Inc., uses approximately 24,000 electronic addresses across the United States and Canada. These numbers allow information to be sent in a matter of seconds to police departments, truck stops, towing companies, weigh stations and other parties of interest describing stolen cargo and equipment. Do you know where your cargo is? Please contact us for pricing and further information.
MRC's name at inception stood for Marine Risk Consulting. This was developed out of the Lloyds system in London and related to our original parent company. There is obviously a rich history and foundation related to our involvement in Marine Surveying. Therefore MRC has the foundation, the depth and the international relationships to enable our networked team of Marine Surveyors to assist in your assessment of damage to cargo in transit or storage.
