I paid for the 24-48hr service and my papers were served the next day. This was before Memorial Day and Chad Smith helped me get papers served immediately. He also sent me confirmation of this on Monday, a holiday. Very grateful for their work.

I have a feeling the reviews on this "company" are fake and written by the company. It's a one man operation and it's a mess. Your stuff won't get served. He's all over the place and when I called to find out what had happened to our service he was flustered saying "I have too much on my plate". Belligerent. Service never got done, wasted a week, had to go find someone else to get it done.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. Not a great experience. At first Chad will be responsive when you contact and hire him to serve your papers. Then he disappears and won't respond to you. Chad ended up leaving my service papers taped to the person's door and he didn't inform me of that for over two months, . After contacting him multiple times, he finally let me know what he had done.

No accountability at all. I'm back at square one after spending over $240.00 dollars for multiple service attempts. I realize that this is a difficult task to serve people, but this guy is a joke. Don't hire him or his company.

Called him today 10/28 /2019 around 4:30pm at 6:35pm I had my proof of service in my hands. Answered all my calls. Dropped everything to take advantage the person was home and immediately came to help me serve the papers. Was quick, efficient, professional. I hope I never have another need to have court papers served, but if I do, this is the company I'm calling. Thank you Chad, I have no words to thank you!

I requested service on 3/26, and four days later, my documents were served properly. Chad is transparent in his process, and answers your questions thoroughly and honestly. Furthermore he is efficient, and professional with his services. Thank you!

Divorce is high anxiety already, add the fact that my x was sleeping in his car, somewhere and not going to work regularly, made it worse thinking he'll never be served. Trying to find a reliable server is overwhelming and I didn't trust the first two I spoke with. The conversation with Chad was different. He has 20 years experience, he was empathetic, welcomed my help in giving him ideas where my x might be.

I called him back, paid him expedited service fee and he got it done in 4.5 hrs. I HIGHLY recommend Chad and his service Associates. You can drop papers at a business, he was timely and there was no problems with court filing. Thank you Process Service Associates now I can rest a little easier.

BUYERS BEWARE! THERE'S A REASON THEY WANT YOU TO PAY UPFRONT! BECAUSE THEY CAN'T GUARANTEE THEIR WORK! PSA did not follow through with what I paid for. As soon as I received their request for payment I paid it. The service was to a simple CT Corp in LA (walking distance from their location). The personal service was for "Next Business Day".

On the next business day - no service was made - not even an attempt. I contacted PSA on the morning of the 2nd business day. Still no attempt had been made. When I tried to explain why this was unacceptable, the owner shouted "do not argue with me you're gonna lose this situation!" Then he hung up on me. I tried to call him back but he continued to hang up on me.

Who runs a business like that? - when you know you made a mistake and try to turn the table around on your customer - guilty. Don't do business with these people, they will get it WRONG or NEVER send you the proof of service (that's been my original complaint for months) - this event was the straw that broke the camels back.

Read Yelp reviews before using Chad Smith and save your self time and a loss of money. Wish I would have reviewed prior to paying him $65 only for Chad to disappear and not serve the docs. He will not respond to emails or calls and missed my deadline to serve the docs. The worst!

This company was amazing they are fast and really worked with my situation. My soon to be ex husband really screwed me over taking me off his business bank account. Pulled out the money in my personal bank account leaving me with $50. This company was understanding of my situation and getting two things served to the ex.

Chad Smith failed to attend an eviction hearing as a process server witness in which we gave him 3 days notice. He said he was too busy to attend. He said he has never had to testify as a process server in the past. My attorney said that is BS. Part of a process server's job is to testify in court on their services. Lucky the tenant admitted getting the notice. I will be filing a complaint to the licensing entity and requesting 100% refund of my fees. Otherwise my attorney recommends me to sue in small claims.

Chad, with Process Service Associates in Van Nuys, did in 1 week what AE Attorney Service in Los Angeles couldn't do in 1 month! If you happen to be deciding between PSA and that other one, go with PSA! The other one is a little cheaper, but their communication is horrible. When someone would finally answer the phone, it was always, "Oh we'll attempt service within the next 24 hours". Then, when I'd follow up due to lack of communication, they never responded to any of my texts, emails, or voice messages inquiring about updates or obstacles/hurdles they may have been running into that contributed to the length of time it was taking to get the job done.

You truly get what you pay for. Pay the extra $15 to get it right the first time. Otherwise, you may find yourself in the same position I was - paying for two process servers instead of one.

Wish their were more stars! I live in another state had to serve nine defendants. For one of them, he had to drive 3 hours to serve, and another 3 hours back. He served in three cities and I don't know how many counties he had to go through to serve that one. A few of the others he had to make several attempts, one of the parties representative even threatened to call the police on him. I was not surprised. Please be patient. He is very thorough.and busy. People that don't want to be served are not going to make it easy.

I blame the Google reviews here for me trusting Process Service Associates. Shouldve checked on yelp maybe the company paid for the reviews there. Everything on Yelp reflects that this company is a fraud. Never delivered my papers, lied and said he couldn't get in contact with a business owner who's at her location 6 days a week, then said he had to go out of town and assigned it to someone else who couldn't reach her. He then never responded again, I tried to get a refund but they're smart to go through PayPal who wouldnt refund it.

Very unprofessional, I had to leave messages and emails to receive a very late response. Paid for rush service and I had to get a new court date, and they still, after all that time- DID NOT follow through, and the address was in van nuys too! Demanding refund, and going with other servers.

I wish I had read all these bad reviews before hiring this company because my experience was very similar to others. Their communication is very, very poor. They make it easy to hire them through their website but I never received confirmation of my order, payment, or receipt of my legal documents I emailed over. Two weeks after submitting my order I hadn't heard anything so I called and had a very rushed conversation with someone who confirmed my defendant had been served but he's been too busy to send me my proof of service documents.

Several weeks after that conversation I still hadn't received proof of service so I called and left a message. Several days after leaving a message the proof of service arrived on 2/23 showing the papers were served on 1/12. To be fair, they did what I hired them to do and maybe taking six weeks to send proof of service is a reasonable time to wait in this industry.

My sense is it would have taken longer had I not pestered them for it. I value good communication and fast response from the people I hire so next time I'll use a different service. Again to be fair. I got my proof of service well in advance of my court date.

Terrific service for an unbelievably difficult situation. The respondent in my child custody case did everything possible to not get served. I live out of state and needed help. Chad took care of the court filing as well as serving someone who was obviously avoiding being served. So glad this part is over and Chad's tenacity got the job done! Thanks Chad! Hire him.

Chad Smith of Process Service Associates is a competent and exemplary process server. He is a true professional. He has served legal documents for me on 2 occasions. He has gone above and beyond in serving those documents for me at 2 different and difficult locations. I recommend him highly. I think you will be pleased with his services.

These guys are AMAZING! Chad is totally great and always willing to do what it takes. I have had nothing but positive experiences ( 3 total ) with this company. Great value and reliable process service.

Zero Rating! Craig Smith never followed though with providing legal documents being served to defendants that were needed for court filings. He sent certified registered mail (not proper procedure) and neglected to contact another process service out of State, which I learned after the fact. Bragged about knowing the correct local defendant related to my case that he verbally stated that he attempted to serve, yet they denied service, but when this was requested in writing from Chad Smith, he said he would not perjure himself. (LIE?) Obviously he will lie and give you lip service. Ignores phone calls and claims to have 20 years experience, but it is for scamming people. Will someone please STOP this man? Don't hire him!

Chad Smith stole $65.00 from me by not doing his job. He has ignored my every day calls for the last two weeks-and hung up on me when I used someone else s phone. What a negligent incompetent fraud and thief. I am reporting him to Better Business Bureau. I think he hates women so beware of him!

Unbelievable service. Chad is the ultimate professional. I called him today at 5 pm and he just served her at 839 pm. Unreal service. Unreal attitude. No headaches. No way in the world would I not recommend this person to everyone I know

Chad was successful in serving my crooked landlord who never left his house, and used a PO Box for his business. Every time I called, he answered me and my million questions. I would use him again in a second!

OMG just received a phone call from Chad, the owner, he expressed he was very unhappy about my honest review of his services. Apparently if you write an review based on your experience with this company and Chad does like it or agree to it. he will take the time to personally call you to harass you about the review. If only he been as diligent in his attempt to do the job as he took in making a threatening phone call he would have many more satisfied customers. All you other dissatisfied customers that have also posted reviews, please beware and expect a phone call Yelp needs to know about this one!

If there were a choice for a zero star, it would be most appropriate here. "Chad" who is the man behind this mess couldn't respond to a phone call or voice message if his life depended on it and his actual follow through on his "unlimited attempts" is a catastrophic lie as he doesn't do it at all. Needless to say Chad has not returned and has not responded to any phone calls or emails. Save your money and hire a real process server but not this man.
