Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado is a non-profit organization that utilizes it's funds to provide investigators with the tools needed for success. This includes industry related education and training as well as a strong advocate at the legislative level. We strive to help our members meet the highest business, professional, and ethical standards in the State of Colorado. Along with the educational conferences, meetings, and seminars, belonging to PPIAC comes with a whole host of benefits that are useful to Private Investigators.

Services
The PPIAC, founded in 1978, was formed to improve the credibility of private investigators, and to provide guidelines for a licensing statute in the State of Colorado. This was partially due to the continuing commitment of PPIAC to support such legislative endeavors. In 2020, Governor Jared Polis vetoed the renewal of the PI licensing law.
Our bylaws serve to outline our structure as an organization. These serve as our framework and allow us to be held accountable and remain fully transparent. As members of the Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado, Inc. (PPIAC), we each share a responsibility for maintaining inviolate the integrity and trust of the Private Investigator's profession. In discharging this responsibility, therefore, we mutually pledge ourselves to the Code of Ethics listed below.
Our policy and procedures outline the requirements for achieving and maintaining membership status, as well as how the organization itself operates. Please read carefully and feel free to consult this list at any time. All applicants shall be at least 21 years old. All applications for membership must be made on the Association membership application to the Vice President of Membership. Each application must be fully completed and accompanied by the first year's annual dues as determined by the Board.
